Rainy Sunday

Rainy Sunday

Rest. Don't think. Don't do.  Just live in the moment.
Most times the it is a blessing.
Today it was a curse.

Too much time to let my mind wander aimlessly
worse case scenarios
never-ending problems
tragic endings
worry
pity this is not about ideas for my next story or poem

Lots of talking myself off the ledge of anxiety
The thunder breaks my fall
Once again I escape the abyss

Some days the abyss can get far too close. I am glad you escaped.

"Too much time to let my mind wander aimlessly"- yes, can be a dangerous thing. Best to you, and I hope things improve.

That's 90% of my days at work- but I've learned to turn the downdraft into annoyance and annoyance into going to God for peace. I'm even getting better at doing so before bad attitude becomes minor disaster!

Love,
Janie
