I cried tonight.
Melancholy tears.
Wishful tears.
"I miss you so much" tears.
Cleansing of the soul is good and was needed tonight.

Oh, Yvonne, I feel so bad for you. It is natural and good to cry and grieve for what you have lost. I grieved for my first husband too.

A few days ago I learned that one of my best friends from high school has died. I've been down in the dumps ever since. The news of his death triggered a stack attack. It brought to mind a number of other people that I cared about and lost to death, divorce or the cessation of a relationship. Loss is an unavoidable part of life. Crying is more than's cathartic. When you're ready you may also choose to let go of things in the past that still cause you pain in the present. (The word "may" instead of "can" is correct usage in this case because it is the NLP way of reprogramming your mind by giving yourself permission to start healing.)
