the heart wants what it wants
sometimes what it wants
it can't have
but it loves anyway
and it dismisses the red flags
the road closures
the "do not pass go" signs
once that happens
it's too late to turn back
and you're stuck
that's never a good thing
heart of mine
how do i stop the ache?
what do i do to numb the pain?
how do i stop the tears from falling down my face?

There is a place
beyond the roads the heart treks
It doesn't pull the way the heart does
but it avoids the wrack and wrecks
It hears the calm center voice that the heart
ignores
that it tries to hide in the bottom of
dresser drawers
And takes you where you need to be
first of all yourself, in the beauty
that it is framed
The face, the smile, the person
in the mirror who lives with you
No Matter What.
Walk there, milady, walk there first.
Fabulous writing and unfortunately so true, but it makes us stronger, don't you think?
CWMartin- That was beautiful. Did you write this? And, I'm trying. Thank you!
BB- Thank you! Yes, it will make me stronger, just, not now. But soon, I will be.
Guilty as charged. Thought you needed it.
CWMartin- Indeed I did. I loved it! Thank you!
