hope springs eternal

the night is still, silent, but for the clickity clack of the keys on my laptop as i type away.  the candle i lit hours ago, now flickering madly, gasping it's last breath.  the scent of vanilla permeates my room.  and then comes the rain, loud, intrusive, marvelous rain.  so much for silence.  it's really pouring out there tonight.  and it's hot and humid too.  not that there is anything weird about that, it is houston after all.  no, the funny part is that the forecast is calling for temperatures to dip into  the mid 40's by friday night.  mid.40's.  in may.  in houston, texas.  the capitol of i'm melting, usa.  weird i tell ya!  just weird.

in other news, the first day of may is only hours away and i don't know about y'all, but i find that this year is just speeding by.  seriously, slow down already!

how is everyone?  i've been a little absent from blogland lately.  too much going on in my life, in my head, eh, you get the picture.  trying to finish projects that need to be finished, all the while, trying to grab the reins of my life and go full throttle.  -takes a lot of work, don't ya know?  hopefully, may will be bring me more happies than it did in april.

wishing all of you a great rest of the week!

be good or be bad and tell me all about it.

peace.

I hope that May brings you more happies than did April. I like to think that Life is moving forward for everyone in a more positive direction. Perhaps we can all figure things out and start to do things better. Make choices that actually make our lives richer. More beautiful. More peaceful. Full of grace.

Did it get to the 40s last night?? It's chilly here in the Mississippi Flatlands... brrrr...

As Robin said... just make wiser decisions!

The weather adds to a weird feeling of everything being off-kilter, that's for sure. I also wish the year wasn't speeding by so quickly. Brrr, the 40s? I'm sorry. You'll probably need to purchase a jacket.

i refuse to pity your 40 degree temperature when it is still dipping here way worse than that... i want to start jumping into my pool, dammit!

Robin- Beautifully said! I totally agree!

Red Shoes- Yes it did, actually it got as low as 38 degrees. But by the next morning, it was back to a balmy 80 degrees. hahaha :)

Robyn- yeah I agree, it makes for our lives to go off kilter for a bit, that's for sure! No need to purchase a jacket. It's back to hot and humid.

Slyde- Ha! Our "cold" weather only lasts a few hours or maybe a day or two and then it's back to either sweltering heat or balmy humidity. Hope your cold snap goes away soon. It's time for pool weather!!!
