To My Valentine

You are somewhere in this world
lost and lonely

I don't know who you are yet
I can't see your face
But I know your heart
and it belongs to me

Just as mine,
belongs to you

You yearn for a woman to help
bring out the best in you,
to laugh with you,
cry with you,
grow with you

You search and search
through dates, relationships and insignificant encounters

Time is of no significance
Who can  put time restraints on matters of the heart?

And so I wait,
hopeful,
for you,
my love.

This was inspired by my unending hope that somewhere out there, someone waits for me.  I'm a hopeless romantic, I can admit it.  :)

I love this, Yvonne. I could've written this before meeting my husband. I was waiting for him, and yours is out there waiting for you. I used to dream about mine before I met him...fate takes us where we're supposed to go.

Great poem! Thanks for linking up with us :)

Belle- Thank you! I hope so.

Deus- Gracias! ;)

Katie- Thank you! I get really, really sappy, sometimes! You're welcome to pimp me out anywhere, but unfortunately, I'm not on Twitter.

Lovely! I felt the same way before I met my husband. I was so discouraged after a bad relationship, yet always hopeful, deep down. :-) So glad to have discovered your blog via L&LB.
