Bust a Rhyme -sorta

Thank you to everyone who commented and/or sent me an email in light of my last post.  I am fine. I'm better.  And tomorrow is another day.  I do appreciate all the love and support I have received from you, I truly am a lucky girl!  I've not been in the mood to write much lately. At least not in this blog or with any of my stories.  Mostly I've just been writing sappy poetry or my version of poetry. heh.  And I've been writing it in Spanish.  It's such a romantic and sensual language.  I think so anyway.  I'm in that mood.  That mood that is passionate and craving love.  I'm a big romantic softie.  And since I've no one in my life presently to share it with, I write it down instead.  At least I'm writing, right?  Right.  So anyway, other than life reminding me that everything is not always "sunshine and roses", I've been working pretty long hours at the office  and neglecting the gym.  And maybe even me.  I dunno, sometimes it's better to disconnect completely from myself, from others and just focus on things that do not require any emotion.  Does that makes sense?  I hope so, because I'm not really sure how to explain myself in a way that you'll understand.  I'm a jumble of coherent incoherent words.  See?  I'm babbling now.

I guess that's my cue to bust out the poetry. Here it is, first in Spanish and then the English version.

Enjoy! (I hope)

Besame
Acaricia mi boca
con la tuya

Toma mi mano
llevame al cielo
una y otra vez

Bailemos al ritmo de nuestros corazones
Sonriendo el uno al otro
Felicidad iluminando  nuestros rostros

Besame la vida

Kiss me
Caress my mouth

Take my hand
lead me to heaven
over and over again
Where dance to the rhythm of our hearts
Smiling at one another
Happiness illuminating our faces

Kiss my life.

LOVED this! I don't know why, but I could totally hear this as a song. I can almost hear the tune, too.

Great poem! I'm so jealous of your ability to write despite not having anyone specific to write about. And don't worry about neglecting the gym in favor of writing. Welcome to the club! True artists suffer for their art...they don't go mountain climbing and work out like crazy, like that girl I write about. No not her... the other one. Ha ha.

I hope you're out of your slump and that this week is much better for you. Hoping the rain gods smile upon Houston and that your Astros don't quite suck as much next year. But I would never laugh at you. Only Yankees fans laugh at people. God, I hate them so much...

sorry. got carried away a bit here. lol.

I love the poem. In college we took some poetry from Neruda, a Spanish poet. I'm sure you know about him. They were all so romantic like this one.

Yvonne my friend... I missed the post that you are referring to, so I am going to sound like an idiot, because I don't know what is going on, and you will have to forgive me because quite frankly, I have not felt like blogging or reading blogs lately, too tired, really too sore, but whatever is going on my friend, I hope that it gets better for you, and yes, poetry in spanish is so much more sexier than english! With that said, yours in any language is beautiful!

That is a beautiful poem and, I agree, it sounds better in Spanish! Whoever you share your life with, including your friends, us (and any future man), is blessed!

Wow, that poem is so sensual and totally hot. I really like it and think I need a cold shower. I agree, Spanish is such a romantic language. Even not knowing it, the Spanish version is beautiful too.

FV- really? that's cool!

Insomniac- The rain teased us and then disappeared. Much like a man. Oops, sorry. Maybe. lol Glad you like the poem. I'll let you in on a little secret, I do have a muse for my poetry and some of my posts. I refer to him as "HE". He doesn't know, at least I don't think he does. It wouldn't matter if he did know. Meh. Anyway, and then when he's not my muse, the idea of that great love, becomes my muse. :)

JJ- thank you for the follow!

AG- awww, thank you so much for that!!!

Kelley- thanks! You make me want to hug you!!! :)

Robyn- tehehe! you're funny! glad you liked it!
