Sunday Revisited

Remember how I said that I hate Sundays? Well it's Sunday again. Sigh, this week will be a difficult one at work. Just thinking about my primadonna boss and his mood swings have my neck all knotted up and it's not even Monday yet! I'm so tired. Mentally, physically and emotionally. I close my eyes and think of a happy place. It is usually on a beach somewhere, with the ocean and waves and sand between my toes oh and seagulls flying overhead! Ahh, bliss.

Until I wake-up.

The alternative (not waking up) would be tragic.

Monday -one day closer to the weekend! lol

What if it was the weekend all of the time? Ok, I think I'm a little delirous now. Apologies and all that.

You've been a great audience (those that actually read through this)

Good night, don't forget to tip the waitstaff on your way out!

Speaking of beach, guess where I went today?! First time in like 6 months. I live 5 miles from it.

It's hard not to stack up a load of worries and hassles in advance based on past experiences, yet sometimes the things we fret about never materialize or they turn out not to be nearly as bad as we anticipated. It's normal for us to dread the start of another work week. The trick is to chunk it down to a manageable size and take it one day at a time, one hour at a time, one minute at a time. Small victories build momentum that lead to greater victories. Live in the moment, access your resources and use every skill and technique at your command to deal with whatever's going on right now. Don't waste time and energy agonizing over the past or the future. The past is behind you. The future isn't here yet.

Viewing Monday as a step closer to the weekend is reframing at its best. Spending a few seconds with your eyes closed relaxing on your island can recharge your batteries and reset your mood. If these things work for Tony they can work for us.

I know we are in a recession, but can you look for another job? Working for a nasty boss can become intolerable.

Adorkable-Way cool! Five miles really?? Lucky!!!

Shady-I try! lol

Bellie Belle - I could looke for another job but it's so rough out there right now. And yes, working for a jerk like mine, sucks. But, I move forward. Thanks for your concern though! ;)

Having lived on islands all my life, I'm always about 15 minutes aways from the beach.

I do not like the beach.

Swap?
