day and night or? just another day in houston

it rained today.  no really, it RAINED today.  well, more like stormed.  the kind with hail and strong winds, tornado warnings and flooding.  street flooding all over the city.  not to mention, crazy people who cannot drive in this weather, or any other kind of weather for that matter.  the "before lunch" picture shown above, shows how it looked during my morning commute to work.  those are accurate pictures taken by a friend who posted the picture on his facebook page.  nothing was altered.  it really was that grim and dire this morning.  but as you can see, by lunch time or thereabouts, houston had itself a beautiful spring day.  texas weather is bipolar i tell you!  anyway, i just wanted to show you kids, what kind of crazy day it was for us here in the h.  the same type of weather is forecast for tomorrow too.  it's raining pretty hard now, with a lot of lightening and rolling thunder.  i hate thunder, it scares the hell out of me, even now.  at my tender age of 46.  shhhh, it'll be our secret.

it's the weekend, do me a favor, go do something fun!

We went through several days of terrible storms here, too (FL). It was truly awful. The constant rain and thunder and wind is beyond bad. Some parts of the state got it worse than others. There were some places that suffered from flooding. One house not too far from ours must have had a dead tree in their yard and it fell on their house. It managed to do a lot of damage. Part of the tree is still stuck in their garage. I have no idea if their car was in their at the time. And it tore up the back side of their home.

I know what you're saying about people getting out there and driving who can't drive in inclement weather. I sure wish they would stay home! They are DANGEROUS.

Eeks. I just read over my comment. I misused there and their. I seriously don't know what is going on in my brain. I think it is short-circuiting. "I have no idea if their care was in THERE at the time." Now I feel better.

What time was the before lunch picture taken? It looks like it is proper dark outside. Almost kinda cool.

Seems like there's a lot of weird weather going on everywhere. We had thunderstorms here in the northwest today, with blazing sunbreaks in between. BOTH of which are rare for us!

reeflightening- yes it is!

Robin- oh no! I hope no one was injured in from the falling tree. Hopefully, sunshiney days will follow the rain. Ha! I'm just like you, I hate when that happens!

Mind of Mine- The morning picture was about 9:45 a.m. and the after was about 12:30ish.

YRJ- I don't know what's up with Mother Nature but she needs to chill out! :)

Whoa, that's crazy! I don't know how y'all live out there, with the tornadoes and hundred degree heat. And the bizarre rain that makes the morning look like nighttime. Bipolar indeed!

Hi Yvonne- I'm in my new place and mostly unpacked. It's great to be reading blogs again. I couldn't believe the first photo was taken in the daytime! Wow.

I know what you mean about drivers. There are always bad accidents the first snowfall here. It is like no one has driven in snow before! And we are Canadians!

I hear the Astros moved into the American League West. I've started watching baseball with my sister. Her team is the Giants, I picked the Angels. I'm afraid the Angels aren't doing well. God bless.

Chris- hahaha! I know! Texas weather is insane! It's currently "oven hot" outside. :)

Robyn- :) thanks doll!

Belle- I'm glad you're all moved in and back in the cyber world again. I've missed you! Yes the Astros are now a part of the American league. Meh. Not a happy camper about that.
